Black Rhythm Happening

Today’s show is the first in a series of what some call “Spiritual Jazz.” Let’s call it Black Rhythm Happening after Eddie Gale’s brilliant album of the same name. I’ve been obsessed with Don Cherry lately, everything from his early days with Ornette Coleman to his later hip-hop and noise electronic albums, most especially his Organic Music Society years. This is everyday listening, late night early morning listening. Sunday morning devotional music that happens every day of the week. There’s just way too much great music to play and I want you to really get zoned and seek the space inside the vase (so to speak), so these are special 2.5 to 3-hour shows. Be well and big love.
