U.K. Psychedelic Rock from the Classic Era Vol. 1

Welcome to another two hours of psychedelic music on Global Psychedelia.  WEFT 90.1FM and streaming live and worldwide at weft.org/listen every Saturday from 2-4 PM Central.

Last week it suddenly came to me that I had yet to do a “classic” U.S. or British psych show, so today’s show will be the second installment of that project: psychedelic music – mostly rock – from the U.K. between the years of 1966 and 1971.  I have chosen tracks that I like – some well known and others not – and that I hope will present a diversity of approaches to psychedelia (particularly in rock for today’s show) that this period uses.  This is the second in a series of four shows (that may not be consecutive) that highlight this “classic” period of psychedelic rock from the U. S. and Britain.
